The Studio

We are an inclusive team of makers, united by a shared passion for play.

Our Story

Founded in 2000, PRELOADED believes play, in all contexts and for all audiences, has the potential to positively impact our world.

As a cross-disciplinary team of artists, designers, play specialists, and creative technologists, we are united by this shared mission – what we call Play with Purpose®.

Together, we create a vast range of playful experiences. We help organisations, brands, and institutions reach next-generation audiences, and partner with technology platforms to imagine the future of play

Our Values

Be Curious

Curiosity drives progress, fuels experimentation, and defines purpose.

Be Human

Inclusive, healthy teams are the foundation of everything we do.

Be Playful

Playing together builds strong teams, unlocks creativity, and inspires innovation.

Working Here

Our goal is to create a meaningful, respectful workplace built on ethical and equitable practices.

We’re committed to building a studio that reflects the communities and audiences we serve, fostering a sense of belonging and equity for all, no matter who you are. Everyone’s voice is heard and valued at every level of decision-making.

As a purpose-driven studio, we focus on projects that align with our values and prioritise transparency through regular team updates and clear decision-making processes.

We also believe work should fit into life, not the other way around. That’s why we offer flexible options, including hybrid and remote work, flexible hours, and a ‘work anywhere’ policy.

Always Learning

We believe in the power of lifelong learning and ensure there is time and space for career growth.

Scheduled studio-wide initiatives, such as our “Lunch ‘n’ Learn” program and JAMLOADED – our annual game jam – are much-loved highlights of the ‘learning’ calendar.

The Interview Process

If you’re interviewing with us, we recommend doing some prep to ensure your personality shines through.

What to expect: There will likely be at least two interviews, each with a different focus and team members. We’ll brief you on the focus and questions in advance, so you’ll have plenty of time to prepare.

Get comfortable: All interviews start on Google Meet, so make sure you’re familiar with the platform. Screen sharing and permissions can sometimes be tricky, so it’s worth doing a test run before the meeting.

Demonstrate passion: We love to see your work and hear about your contributions. It’s not just about the final output, but the creative process and your learnings along the way.

Research us: We’ve got a strong mission and a long history. Take some time to learn about our values and the people you’ll be meeting. We’ll be doing the same.

Be curious: Interviews are a two-way conversation, so please bring your own questions for us!
